About the MRT Kajang Line simulator

This is a free, interactive simulator of the MRT Kajang Line (MRT 1), operated by Rapid Rail (Prasarana) in Greater Kuala Lumpur / the Klang Valley, Malaysia. The line runs 47 km across 29 stations from Kwasa Damansara to Kajang. Kuala Lumpur's first MRT line (MRT 1, green), running from Kwasa Damansara through the Damansara suburbs and a tunnelled city-centre section (Muzium Negara to Maluri, serving Pasar Seni, Bukit Bintang and TRX) out to Cheras and Kajang. Opened in stages in 2016-2017 as the Sungai Buloh-Kajang line and truncated to Kwasa Damansara when the Putrajaya line opened.

What the simulator shows

Trains move along the line on a live map, following the time of day with an adjustable speed and a draggable timeline. Service ramps up from the depots at 06:00 towards a 4-minute peak headway (8 minutes off-peak), using Siemens Inspiro trains. Stations show live platform crowding, and passenger demand follows realistic morning and evening peaks scaled to about 285,000 weekday boardings.
